What is Yanvara?
Yanvara is an AI trip planning platform operated by Yanvara Pty Ltd (ACN 698 370 535). It turns a single travel prompt — such as "Two weeks in Japan in April, mid-range, food-focused" — into a complete day-by-day itinerary with route flow, estimated costs, weather context, a linked packing list and shareable view-only links. The free plan includes everything you need to plan one trip end-to-end.
How does the AI trip planner actually work?
You describe your trip in plain language or via the guided setup. Yanvara parses your input into structured parameters (destination, dates, travellers, budget, pace, interests) and generates a complete itinerary with realistic day-by-day timing, accommodation and activity suggestions, transport, weather-aware planning and estimated costs. Pro users can then refine any day via AI chat without regenerating the whole trip.
Do I need an account to try Yanvara?
You can describe a trip and start planning for free with no credit card. To view and keep your finished itinerary you'll enter your email — that creates a free account in a few seconds, so your trip is saved and emailed to you and you can reopen it anytime. The Free plan stays free.
What do I actually get from one prompt?
Every plan includes a day-by-day itinerary with realistic pacing, a sensible route between places, estimated costs, weather context for your dates, a packing list tied to your trip, and a view-only link you can share. On Pro you can also refine any day through AI chat and invite collaborators.
Pricing & billing
Is Yanvara free to use?
Yes. Every new account starts with 7 days of Pro free — no card required. After the trial the Free plan is still a working AI trip planner, not a teaser: you can generate up to 3 itineraries a month, save one trip to your account, use the simple packing checklist, share view-only links and export to PDF. Yanvara Pro at $5/month, or $39/year ($3.25/mo) billed annually, adds unlimited saved trips and generations, AI chat refinements, advanced packing and collaborators.
How much does Yanvara Pro cost?
Yanvara Pro is $5 per month on monthly billing, or $39 per year ($3.25/month) on annual billing — a 35% saving. Prices are in US dollars. Billing is handled by Stripe and you can change plan or cancel anytime through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep Pro access until then.
What currency are prices shown and billed in?
Trip costs are shown in your chosen currency — pick from more than 25 in the header, with US dollars as the default. Your Yanvara Pro subscription is billed separately in US dollars (USD) through Stripe, so the subscription price is the same wherever you travel from.
Can I cancel, and do you offer refunds?
You can cancel anytime from the Stripe customer portal in My Account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then. Subscriptions are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise — for example, the Australian Consumer Law for major failures. For any billing question, email [email protected].
How does the referral program work?
Every account has a unique referral link in the Refer a friend section of My Account. When a friend signs up using your link and upgrades to Pro, you automatically earn one full month of Pro free — applied as a discount to your next renewal if you're billed through yanvara.com, or credited to your account as free Pro time otherwise (for App Store or Google Play subscribers the credited month starts when the store subscription ends). Rewards stack, so every friend who upgrades earns you another month.
When do my free plan limits reset?
Free-plan usage (3 trip generations per month) resets at midnight UTC on the 1st of each month, and the signed-out daily limit resets at midnight UTC each day. Depending on where you live that can differ from your local midnight — for example, Australian east-coast time is 10–11 hours ahead of UTC, so limits reset mid-morning local time. Yanvara Pro has no generation limits.
Trip planning & AI
Can I edit a trip myself, or only through AI chat?
Both. Alongside AI chat (Pro), you can edit your itinerary directly — adjust a day, add or remove activities and bookings, reorder things and tick off packing items. Manual editing is available on every plan; AI chat is there when you'd rather describe the change and let Yanvara apply it.
What happens if a plan fails to generate?
Occasionally a plan doesn't finish — usually a temporary issue with an upstream service. The trip is clearly marked as incomplete and you can retry generation in one tap. If it keeps failing, email [email protected] and we'll look into it.
Is the AI-generated content accurate?
Yanvara generates trip plans using current AI models combined with real travel data, but AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate. You should verify costs, opening hours, weather forecasts, visa requirements and booking conditions before travelling. Treat Yanvara's plans as a strong starting point — not a substitute for confirming the details yourself.
Does Yanvara book hotels and flights directly?
No. Yanvara surfaces accommodation, flight, transport and activity suggestions with direct links to partner booking sites (Booking.com, Skyscanner, GetYourGuide, Holafly and others) where you complete the booking yourself. We never store your payment details for bookings. We do earn a small affiliate commission on some bookings — this never changes what we recommend.
What languages can Yanvara plan in?
Yanvara can generate trips in 20 languages — including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Turkish, Russian, Polish, Swedish and Danish. Choose your language from the header before you plan.
What is the Near-you concierge?
It's a Pro feature for the days between trips — open 'Near you' from the header. Share your location and Yanvara surfaces great real places around you (with live opening hours and contact details), filtered for how you're travelling — with kids, a date night, dinner, a rainy day. It can chain the best few into a one-tap walkable afternoon, suggest weekend getaways from your city, answer travel questions in an AI concierge chat, keep a board of saved ideas, show what's on locally, and bundle handy tools like a currency converter, tipping guide and phrasebook. You can start free — sign in and try it, then upgrade to Pro to use it fully.
Sharing & collaboration
Can I share a trip with travel companions?
Yes. Every saved trip generates a view-only share link that anyone can open in a browser without an account. Pro users can also invite collaborators by email — invitees accept the invite and can view and contribute to the trip in the same workspace. You can remove a collaborator at any time from the trip settings.
Who can see my trips?
Your trips are private by default. A trip is only visible to others if you create a view-only share link or add it to the public explore feed — and even then it shows only the itinerary outline, destination and a preview image, never your email, billing or account details. You can make a trip private again or delete it at any time.
Account, data & security
Does Yanvara support two-factor authentication?
Yes. You can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) in My Account using any TOTP authenticator app — Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password and similar all work. Once enabled, sign-in requires both your password and a 6-digit code. You can disable 2FA at any time after verifying with your current code.
Can I export my account data?
Yes. From My Account you can export a JSON file containing your account details, planning preferences, all saved trips and your AI request history. This is provided to satisfy GDPR Article 20 data portability requests and similar privacy laws. Exports are generated on-demand and not stored on our servers.
What happens when I delete my account?
Account deletion runs on a 30-day grace period. Your account is disabled immediately so you cannot sign in, but the data is only permanently purged 30 days after the deletion request. If you change your mind during that window, contact [email protected] to cancel the deletion and restore access.
Does Yanvara work on mobile?
Yes. Yanvara is a progressive web app that runs in any modern browser on iOS, Android, desktop and tablet. You can add it to your home screen on mobile for a native-like experience with offline-ready features for viewing saved trips. There is no separate app download required.
